The Smartest Way to Make $100 a Day from Music (Without Spotify)

Have you ever wondered why Spotify and other streaming services are keeping you stuck? The truth is they took your cheap customers, but they also left you a gift — and that is how you will make $100 a day. I'm going to show you how you get it from them!

I know you have a dream to change the world with your music, or at least make some money with it. So, on this episode, I'm going to help two types of people. For those who are beginners, you will learn how to make $100 a day, and for more experienced people, you'll get a repeatable framework you can use to tighten up your sales.

My goal is to help you understand that direct-to-consumer is the key to unlock your $100 a day, and I'm going to show you a quick system that will make it simple for you to achieve that result.

It took me years to figure out what Spotify and the streaming services actually did, but once I realized that they left us the gift of customers who would actually pay for the music, it made much more sense to me. They took all of our customers who would otherwise buy music or pirate it for free and put them under a subscription model that would allow us to get money from those who never really wanted to buy music in the first place. But then they left us the gift of everybody else who did want to purchase — these are supporters and fans, and some of them super fans. These people couldn't care less about Spotify; what they want is something from you. It's because of realizing this that I knew the money was always there so long as you have the influence. All you have to do is find the value that they want, create a solution, and create an offer — so let's dig in.

Finding The Value In Your Music

Most artists think that these fans and supporters want more music, but that's not the truth. The truth is they desire something more deeply than the music, and the only way they can fulfill that desire is by purchasing the music. The only reason why you can't seem to get money out of these people is that you don't know what they desire. I know this because anyone who has ever purchased an item never truly purchased that item for what it's used for — they purchase it for the outcome they're going to receive and the reason they're going to use it. Once you figure out the reasons they're going to use it and the outcomes they want, you will slowly begin to create value. Listen to your music, figure out its use cases, and then figure out the transformation that people get when they use it for those cases. This will change the way you create music. And then you won't create music with just yourself in mind, but you'll learn to create it with the customer in mind as well.

Create A Solution With Your Music

Many artists, after understanding value, will still think, "Well, let's just give them the music — it solves that value issue, right?" Well, that's the wrong position to be in. It's only because the industry has created a persona that the music artist only creates music and a live show and that they don't actually create anything else that satisfies the hunger that your fans actually have. If you keep this mindset, then you will never make any money from this business. You will make your money from streaming. Yet this is how you can capitalize upon the music you create and start to make $100 a day simply by providing a solution to the desires that the consumer values.

I figured this out because I wasn't making money from music. But once I started supplying people's needs, things started to change for me. The trick is finding the actions that people do with your music, and then from there you will find the key to the money you seek. This will open up a whole new world for you and bring money back into the music game that was already there. You just couldn't see it.

Make an Offer With Your Music

Now here's the point where all artists and creatives go wrong. Once you figure out what they want, and you figure out a solution for what they want, you have to offer them that solution. If you don't offer it correctly, you'll never make the money. The reason why you won't is because you're trying to give them tools when they really just want transformation. Get them from point A to point B. Most of you aren't doing this.

I figured this out because once I offered you guys a solution and a transformation from point A to point B with my 60 Day Record Label System, you purchased.

All you have to do is tell them how wonderful life will be after they purchase your solution that comes directly from the music. When you do this, it will become irresistible to them and they will have no choice but to purchase.

I used to think that people wanted to know all the information that I knew. But I learned from you all it's not what I know, it's how you get to where you want to be. Once I figured that out, it was game over. Again, you don't need a bunch of fans. You just need a solution that leads to a transformation by way of your music — that's your key.

The Mistake to Avoid

Now, you don't know what you don't know. So, this is not on you; however, you can't unhear this, so it will be on you to remove the old logic of thinking music and shows is all you need to offer these supporters and fans of yours. Because if you continue doing it that way, you will suffer a long road ahead, and you won't actually enjoy making music for others — you'll just make it for yourself, and you'll say that the game is rigged when it actually isn't. It's designed to work exactly as it is working. So, what level do you want to play on? Beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

I used to have the same mindset, except I lacked the one skill all creatives lack and that's how to sell.

Here's what you can do!

"Right now, you have a choice: You can keep guessing and hoping things will change... or you can follow a system that's already working. The real question isn't 'should you do this?'—it's 'how much longer can you afford NOT to?' If you need help better understanding this system, join the Music Money Makers every Monday night at 7 pm EST or our master classes every month to understand the process even more."

Taking advantage of your fans

Right now, D2C is on the rise, but artists and labels haven't figured this part out yet. So even though it's not a rush for artists, it's a rush that's being missed for supporters and fans. Once their desires have subsided for every project, you won't be able to get those desires back. So find the value, create the solution, and make an offer.

Back off the cliff…

The truth is — the system of finding value, creating a solution, and making an offer works. Your skills that you will sharpen to make it happen are fine. Your resources—time, money, and energy—will all work for you in due time. Those aren't the real issue. It's the anxiety that maybe it won't work—because you've seen too much, heard too much, and now you don't have the confidence to do it because you don't know where to start. But the System does work—especially when you pair it with your resources and trust your skills to take it step by step. You don't need perfect conditions. You just need to start with what you've got—and watch how far that can take you.

At the End of the Day

At the end of the day, making $100 a day from music isn't about competing with streaming services — it's about understanding the true value you provide to your most dedicated fans. By focusing on direct-to-consumer relationships and creating solutions that transform lives through your music, you're not just making money — you're building a sustainable career that serves both you and your audience.
