You Don’t Need a Team. You Need a System — Here’s Yours

If you believe you need a tour, a team, and a record label to make money as a music creator/influencer, I hate to break it to you bruh, but you’ve been lied to. Though having those things adds depth to your career, they just aren't necessary for everyone. So today, we're tearing that lie down and replacing it with a real plan that pays.

Most artists think they need everything to succeed — a manager, a street team, a booking agent, a merch staff, a tour van! TikTok viral every week? A street team on standby? That’s not a launch plan — that’s a meltdown waiting to happen.

But trying to do everything without a system just leads to burnout, disappointment, and zero profit. SO you’re struggling to make money from being a music creation influencer, trying to do everything that has been done in the past, the same grind that’s left thousands of artists broke, burned out, and forgotten.

The truth is, the most profitable artists today are the ones who keep it lean — and run their careers like businesses from day one. That’s the difference-maker. And most of you are missing it.

This all clicked for me when I realized that you all are not just artists—you're music creator influencers. Let that sink in. You're in the same boat as everyone else, and the quicker you accept that instead of picturing yourself as some rich superstar who just creates music, tours, and has the world come to your door, the quicker you can understand what I'm going to say.

Here’s the truth: you're not just an artist anymore — you're a brand. A business. A walking influence machine. So start acting like one. But why do music influencers struggle so much? It's because they're selling supporter merchandise to everyone, thinking everyone wants it. I promise you—we don't want another t-shirt or more music. We don’t want more hoodies. We don’t want another digital download. We want you. The experience. The access. The transformation. And guess what.. we’ll pay a premium for it if you package it right and sell it us easily! We want to experience you and to be you! That’s how your money is made!

Direct-to-Fan Offer System That Scales With No Team

Currently, many music influencers think direct-to-fan offers are just music downloads and wearable merch. The truth is, it's much more than that. Direct-to-fan offers are products that speak to customers who want to: A. be you, B. Experience you, or C. take what you have and make money with it. The real reason things haven't been working out for you is that you don't understand the minds of your customers and fans and what they truly want. So if you create products for those 3 customer types that can profit you $20 or more, you will see your Solo Artist Money Plan come to life and feel the weight of making money in music fall off your shoulders.

Since this is the core, we need to build the support around it.

Strategic Content System That Builds Trust Without Fail

Let’s work on the content side of the funnel. You don’t need to go viral. You need 3–5 core pieces of content that say:

  • This is who I am

  • This is why you should care

  • This is what I offer

These will run throughout the week, every week in addition to your talent based content. This isn’t fluff. This is storytelling content — and it builds the kind of trust that makes people beg for your next drop.

You can either show your story or tell your story makes no difference just get it done because this content builds trust in your brand and faith in your product offerings. If they do well, you can repurpose them as ads. This type of content makes your customers demand experience-based products because if they resonate with you deep enough, They go from followers to fanatics — and that’s where the money lives. This will create a transformation you couldn’t pay for.

Simple Sales Funnels for Music + Merch + Offers

The major label has 20 employees. You need 1 funnel that does 20 jobs. So, let's add more support to the product. Right now, you're probably sending people to an e-commerce website. However, you just need one page. One product. One goal: convert the listener to a buyer and collect the email.

You don't need a full marketing team — just an offer page and an email drip or text follow-up that feels personal.

Use one link — not 20. A real funnel runs while you rest. That's leverage. This is how you convert cold interest into warm revenue — without lifting a finger after it's set up once. If you're on IG, run a ManyChat automation to get people to the page or give a CTA if you're on any other platform. This will blow your mind once you turn the tap on!

Engage, Engage, Engage

The reason why artists don't draw in customers is that they lack great customer service skills. You have to serve these people on every level, including replying to comments even if you're a few days late. Invisible artists don’t get paid. A simple ‘thank you’ in the comments can turn a casual fan into a lifelong customer. So, make it a habit of replying to comments, polling your audience to see what they would like or what you can do better for them. This simple gesture will start to build community — otherwise known as common union — and your fan army will begin to rise as your word-of-mouth evangelists. Invisible artists don’t get paid.

Don’t be fooled, looking back!

If you keep waiting for the manager, the tour, or the money to show up — you'll be stuck watching other artists make moves while you wonder why you're not getting paid. We’ve all been hypnotized by the old industry dream — but dreams don’t pay bills. This plan isn't optional. It's survival for solo creators in 2025. And I really wish I were joking, but I'm not. I used to believe musicians were special and contrary to the normal creators, be we aren’t. Take advantage of this plan because in reality, it is the plan of all solo creator influencers in any industry. We're all on the same playing field now!

What the future holds.

The clock’s ticking — and the creator economy won’t wait for you to catch up. The ones who see themselves this way are turning their skills into income. The ones who don’t? They’re getting stuck in a loop of content with no conversions.

If you don’t adapt to this, you’ll fall behind. Whether you realize it or not, the game has already changed — and your mindset has to change with it. This is the only strategy that works long-term because it aligns with where the creator economy is headed: lean, independent, and product-first.

The artists who wait will still be stuck trying to sell hoodies and hope for streams, while the ones who move now will own their niche, create offers that convert, and finally start seeing money come in consistently.

The good news? There’s a way to implement this easily — no tour, no team, no label. And I’m going to show you how to do it right now.

Here’s what you can do!

Now, you can keep trying to piece everything together from YouTube videos, DMs, and guesswork — hoping something will finally click. Or, you can implement this Solo Artist Money Plan. A lean, powerful system that helps you sell like a brand, move like a business, and finally make what you deserve.

This isn’t about hype. It’s the cheat code. It’s about having a real system that gets you from creation to conversion without needing a whole team. So if you're serious about building something that lasts — click below to join the Music Money Makers as we talk about strategies like this all the time in our masterclasses and Q&As.

Anxiety is a killer of dreams

Think it won’t work? That’s just anxiety doing its job. It’s not these 3 steps that are getting in the way, your ability to get it done, or even your software or your camera. It’s that “what if I fail” spiral again — classic. But for real? The solo artist's money plan + the combination of whatever tools you have at your disposal makes it super doable. All you’ve gotta do is start messy. Fix it fast. Finish strong because you’re not going to be great at the beginning.

What’s it going to cost to do it yourself

You could keep trying to figure all this out alone. But the clock is still ticking, and every hour you stall is another fan you didn’t reach, another product you didn’t sell, another bag you didn’t collect. You're causing yourself burnout, comparing yourself to others, getting frustrated — and feeling like maybe you're not good enough after all. You'll either make peace with building a system that works or live in chaos, trying to wing it week after week. The real cost? Staying stuck in a game you could've won if you had just played smarter.

At the End of the Day

Before this video, you probably felt like… You needed a team, a tour, or a viral hit to make money. To be real, you'll get those things as you grow, but you were selling merch and music to people who weren't buying. Plus, you didn't have a system — just a lot of content with no payoff.

But now? You've got the plan. You know how to create scalable products and the reason why, strategic content, and simple funnels — all without a team.

You’re not some starving artist waiting for a cosign. You’re a musicpreneur — and now you’ve got the blueprint to build your empire.
